This addresses an issue brought to our attention by Martin on the forum. It was related to the new Joomla return url parameter, which allows redirection to a certin page once the user has logged in.

This issue is now resolved, and can be downloaded from the download area.

The next release for EmailAsUsername Joomla 1.5 version will be in the seven days. Most notably, an update to the authentication plugin (which rarely needs any maintenance!) We will be added a new feature, rather than resolving any bugs!

As you may know the Joomla 1.6 compatible version of the plugin has been completely re-written to take advantage of Joomla 1.6 new code structure. With some tweaks however, it should be possible to back port this to Joomla 1.5, which is something we are considering doing. More news on this development to follow....
