Update: We experiencing a few problems with the Author Avatar plugin and Compatibility mode in Internet Explorer 8. We've unpublished it while we investigate.

Our new Author Avatar Plugin is almost ready for realease. We've installed it here to put it through its paces before releasing it into the wild. Here's some of the features you can expect to see:

• Seamless integration with the Joomla User Management screen (see screenshot)
• As always: No core hacks means you can upgrade Joomla and other components without having to re-apply code
• Links with JomSocial or Community Builder
• Optional avatar hyperlinking with JomSocial or Community Builder profile pages
• Allow users to hyperlink avatars to Author Biographies (See it in action! Click on the Avatar above)
• Choose left or right avatar alignment
• Template system means you have complete freedom over the look and feel
• Override the default plugin settings on a per article basis through the use of configuration code.

• Front end interface for adding avatars
